Amp Wont turn on

now we put tinfoil around the fuse so it closes the circuit. next thing we did was bypass the switch and it worked turned on and everything. so it was the switch that was broken.

Went and stole a power switch from some crappy speakers and did a quick mod amp works better then before.

Now where do i buy a new 1A 250V fuse?

AH! the tin foil around the fuse trick! Wish I had a buck for every blown amp I've seen with this done.

OP - just a small point if I may.

How you present yourself will become of vital importance in the very near future. If you give the same impression of yourself as you have given us, how are you going to pass an interview for a good school or for a decent job? You only get ONE chance at making a first impression! Why not make it a good one?

The power switch is probably better quality then the old one because this amp is made from china and all the English writing on the back is spelt wrong and there is no model number they have the place where the model number goes but they left it blank...

The equivalent of radio shack in Canada is The Source. sadly the same fuse costs me 5$ CAN at the source but at Radio Shack costs 2$ US.

Well whatever 5$ is better then spending 50$ for another amp i wont use =)

The switch was hot glueguned to the back of the front plate XD here a pic.

Sorry but that doesn't look too safe to me. You can get a toggle switch from Home Depot that will do the job much better than what you have.

I have bemoaned our version of Radio Shack for many years. The parts that they sell are mostly rubbish and priced way above what they are worth.

Where do you reside in our fair country?
