a friend of mine wants to sell me his AMPEG SVT 4x10 cab. (I currently have the 8x10) I was thinking of picking this up just for playing smaller places so I wouldn't have to lug my 8x10 cab around. Is $400 a good price for a used SVT-410HE 4x10 cab?

Ampeg 4x10 Cab

With your SVT3-Pro head, you are going to lose a fair amount of volume because the 410HE is an 8ohm cab vs. the 4ohm 810. If you're okay with that, and the cab is in good shape, $400 sounds reasonable.
Go with the SVT-410HLF, new its only $100.00 more, so used depending on condition it shouldnt be much more expensive, and its 4 ohms, you youll be set with the head you have.
