ampeg 7pro vs other micro amps

That's not how threads work, and it isn't how life works. You should be gracious and thankful of anyone who shares their experience with you.

I never said anything about fair, either. You may think I'm being disrespectful to you, but you haven't shown any respect to us.

BTW, do you really think an endorser makes a commission when the company (whose equipment in this case they still have to pay for at a discount) they endorse sells another unit? Get real.

Glad you got what you want in the end, whatever it was. I still doubt you ever had any interest in this amp. There are comments on this, your own thread, by multiple users of the amp in question, and you have ignored them all completely to focus on two posters, one of whom you misguidedly still think is an Ampeg endorser, and one aspect of this amp that you have undoubtedly read about in the other threads before starting this one ever so 'innocently'.

But if you do want real info, good, bad, and indifferent, and real live experiences of other players, TB is a great place. You really don't need to poke the wasp's nest with your first thread.

+1 Well put. I've been guilty of hasty responses back and forth , even with Jimmy. He has passion and he takes time to get deep into discussions with people who don't own or want Ampeg gear.

Hmmm, call me out of line? most of use guys on here who are endorsed seem way to pushy to me. im a bass player! i dont care if if your endorsed for 199 years or for 1 year you guys are biased but with your full A! endorsement i dont expect you to say anything but positivity towards your company. Im not and dont have to push a product in peoples faces. i just want a good amp that says what it does on paper and rocks when i want it to. BUt i can rock through a 30watt practice amp anyways

I don't understand all the back-and-forth here. I'm not an Ampeg user or fan, so I don't buy Ampeg. Why don't you follow suit and go rock through your 30-watt practice amp?

I base my amp purchases on whether it meets my requirements for tone and volume. I don't give a rat what the printed specs are. The various methods of measurement make the specs superfluous as far as I'm concerned.

watts come under specs also, so you could rock through 30 watt amp too. :D

Uh...he said tone and volume...not watts. Now who's putting words in peoples mouths?

You want an amp that does what it says on paper ? I've never heard a bass player in my life say that. Never.

It may have been mentioned once in the TC RH450 fiasco...maybe...

Why can't we all just get along :hiding:

Honestly everybody likes what they like that's why there are so many amps out there for us to enjoy! If you love it tell people, if it sucks tell people. That's what it's all about.

To bassbones741 - welcome to TB you will not find any other resource anywhere that will give you the info (both good or bad) on gear, playing technique, gigging, booking your group, finding "your" sound, or whatever. TB is the best! Period!

Just remember, you are also dealing with people from around the world here. Some of them have what I would call "very strong opinions" about things and aren't afraid to let you know that. Sometimes things can get a bit out of hand.

Treat everyone with respect and courtesy and they will do the same to you in return. Apologize when necessary if you feel you need to, and graciously accept apologies from others when needed. If you feel things are getting out of hand, let one of the mod's know. The TB mod's are some of the best on any forum and are here to help. Being a mod is sometimes a thankless job and they deserve props.

Spend some time here and you'll soon find out there are many players here who can and will help you with any question. All you need do is ask for help.

Keep Low :bassist: OK now I'm gonna go play my bass!
