ampeg 7pro vs other micro amps

Hey dude, you asked. I think it's a little presumptuous for you to assume that someone's going to tell you they like something they don't just because they're endorsing it. Most endorsers actually like the products they endorse. And you asked about the 7 Pro and I told you what I thought. Now go buy what you want. Or don't. I'm cool with it either way, and even if I wasn't, who cares what I think?

sorry but you guys remind me of door to door sales men.

So he found out that its not doing what it says it should on paperbut buys it? good for him!

Just saying, there is more to it than bench tests...wouldn't mind seeing an Ampeg thread stick without getting shut down for comments like you keep insisting on issuing.

For the record, I don't own one...I'm a 'door to door salesman' for Genz, but like Jimmy and Kirk, I went to Genz because I love their stuff...take away my endorsements and make me buy everything again...it'd be my same rig :)

Hmmm, call me out of line? most of use guys on here who are endorsed seem way to pushy to me. im a bass player! i dont care if if your endorsed for 199 years or for 1 year you guys are biased but with your full A! endorsement i dont expect you to say anything but positivity towards your company. Im not and dont have to push a product in peoples faces. i just want a good amp that says what it does on paper and rocks when i want it to. BUt i can rock through a 30watt practice amp anyways

He he, I've been defending the sansamp BDDI in every thread I've been involved in, still Tech21 never send me a free unit, not even a Tech21 Sticker!! :)
Same goes for other products which I have passion for. I do get a decent amount of roller skies and roller ski wheels by in my mail box...... But then I'm involved in the R&D process, as I do the design of the parts on CAD, and test the parts there after.

Wondering what this amps like? My friend played one bit said it was kinda farty sounding and heavy for a micro

I'm not buying this for a second.

Your drip, drip, drip, questions are just too perfect. You don't really want to buy this amp, you want to troll it and also try to trip up Jimmy.

You knew the answer to every question already and your motives are insincere.

On the slight chance you really came here for info, you have failed, only taking on board what you want to hear to confirm your opinion of what Ampeg has done with the 7Pro.

If you really are interested audition the amp and make a deduction based on your ears and needs. If you are so bothered by the amp and the company and everyone who likes it, get something else and stop stirring the &**¥.

all i said was i'd rather not get my info from someone who's job it is to promote the company. You think thats unfair of me? I made that obvious earlyer on in the thread and was nice about it.They should have left after that but decided to stick around. I dont like when the door to door sales men keep knocking on my door when i've already told them i'm not interested. And yes i have no interest in this amp now.

That's not how threads work, and it isn't how life works. You should be gracious and thankful of anyone who shares their experience with you.

I never said anything about fair, either. You may think I'm being disrespectful to you, but you haven't shown any respect to us.

BTW, do you really think an endorser makes a commission when the company (whose equipment in this case they still have to pay for at a discount) they endorse sells another unit? Get real.

Glad you got what you want in the end, whatever it was. I still doubt you ever had any interest in this amp. There are comments on this, your own thread, by multiple users of the amp in question, and you have ignored them all completely to focus on two posters, one of whom you misguidedly still think is an Ampeg endorser, and one aspect of this amp that you have undoubtedly read about in the other threads before starting this one ever so 'innocently'.

But if you do want real info, good, bad, and indifferent, and real live experiences of other players, TB is a great place. You really don't need to poke the wasp's nest with your first thread.

Your putting words in my mouth dude. and didnt someone post they had a full A endorsement with ampeg? Surely you get more than a few stickers with that?

Read his post. He did in the past but hasn't since 6 years, and he said nothing about Ampeg anyway, he was just vouching for Jimmy's integrity. I have no idea if he got stickers, BJs or Doubloons from Ampeg, and I don't care, either. I listen to others, take their opinions with a grain of salt, and let my own ears make a decision. If you do stick around, you will start to find a few posters whose opinions and experiences generally jibe with yours, so you can give their comments a bit more weight, but ultimately we all have to make up our own minds and not blame others for their lack of sense, experience, subjectivity, or whatever.

I assumed you think that endorsers get paid for selling amps. It's you that called them door to door salesman, not me. Unless you were just trying to find a clever way to insult them, which I didn't want to assume but I guess should have.

Anyway, ignore me, I'm not the point.
