Ampeg 8X10 Help

So a while back I picked up a 8X10 cab that was totally trashed, however all the cones and wiring was fine. I picked it up for a song so I figured even if I had to rebuild the entire enclosure, and buy all new hardware, I was still coming out cheaper than a new one.

So here is where I messed up. I pulled the entire thing apart, and started building a replacement cab. All is going perfectly and then I realized i didn't keep track of how the cones were wired. Does anyone have a wiring diagram of how an Ampeg 8X10 is setup? I still have all the precut wiring and connectors, but with the 8X10 being wired strange, I'm at a loss.

Which 8x10? What impedance drivers? What connector plate?

The OEM drivers are 32 ohms and the cab is 4 ohms, so the wiring is parallel. 32/8=4.

I believe this jack plate is item 35 in your diagram.

If you plug into Jacks numbered 2 or 3, all of the speakers are connected in parallel, so you get 4 ohms.

Jack #1 has a switch. When you insert a plug in jack #1 it breaks the cab down into two separate 8 ohm circuits of four drivers. Jack #1 goes to the upper four drivers and all other jacks go to the lower four drivers.

The jack plate and wiring harness is surprisingly cheap $27.50. Invalid Link Removed
