I had a guy approach me with a trade offer. I have a GK1001RB with a Neo 410 cab. He has a 1969 B15n that seems to be in good shape (although he said said that the serial number was from the time that was "uncatalogued?"). The cabinet is missing the tolex. Anyone with any ideas on this trade?

very good trade. unless you need a gig rig.
The b15n would be good for a low volume gig, but not a rock show. although I am sure some would say otherwise.

I'd very likely take the deal, but photos and details on the B15N would be helpful in the final decision.
The GK should be louder and more modern sounding. The B15N is an outstanding awesome sounding amp, but it's best for studio or low volume gigs.

I would keep the GK. The Ampeg is nice but given the age and the fact that you cannot accurately identify how old is, it might be much less reliable. If you have the cash, I would buy it and keep the GK.

and there is no way in hell i'd trade the gk rig for that. that model b-15n goes for about $1000-1300 in vg/mint. in that shape i'd be hard pressed to pay $300 for it. i guess the head's worth $300, but i wouldn't give up a nice gk rig for it unless it was equally beat.
UPDATE - I just now found what looks to be [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] for this...he's asking WAY too much, given the condition its in.
+1 to this. I paid $500 for a 65 in need of similar - maybe slightly less - repair, and think that's about the limit of reasonable. This guy is asking for way too much.
new, the head is $750 and the cab is $600. a rig like that in vg/mint would probably sell for $800 used here.
