Ampeg B2 RE question

Hi guys,

have just bought an Ampeg B2RE and SVT410 HLF. Unfortunately I didn't notice that the head doesn't have a tuner out on it.. If I put my bass into the tuner into the tuner, can I then go into the effects return of the head to keep all wiring round the back ??

Any other ideas......I want to go BASS into TUNER into AMP ( that way I think I can get the mute on the tuner to work ) , unless you know better, which is EXTREMELY possible.

thanks in advance
Stewart

That´s a sweet sounding rig BTW...about the original question, i say Bass>Tuner>Amp too.

Thanks for all the good advice guys, and for the complements too - unexpected but welcome, and it IS a sweet sounding rig.

Have to admit to not being nearly man enough to take a drill to my new rig, sorry, just a wimp I guess :-).

Bear in mind I want to keep as much cabling as I can out of sight. What I have succeeded in doing is taking the output from the tuner ( a Behringer BTR200 - bought not for it's admitidly limited tuning capabilities but rather for the sexy racklights lighting up my amp below ) into the fx return of the amp. However this bypasses the eq section of the amp and goes straight to the power amp. I have a Line6 bass floor pod which has a better tuner, but can't be operated easily when on the floor.

Mmmmm, I can see much fun over the next wee while getting the config I want.

Thanks again and I'll keep ya posted of what I decide in case it's of any use or interest to a fellow bass player.
