My Ampeg BR2E head quit working. It won't power on. I changed the fuse and tried a different power cord- still no power. Anybody have any idea what the problem might be? Thanks

Ampeg BR2E No power

It might just be a defective power switch. Something easy you could try is spraying some Deoxit D5 brand (electrical contact cleaner with lube available at radio shack) in your power switch and working the switch on-off several times. Sometimes power switches just get dirty or the lube inside drys up causing the switch to malfunction, this might just fix it.
I'd Unplug the amp and position it with the front side pointing up, then (using the straw that'll come taped to the side of your can) carefully spray a little into the gap between the power switches rocker (its knob) and the switches outer housing. Make sure you wear some some type of safety glasses because sometimes the spray will deflect back in your face.
You might have some other problem besides the switch but its worth a try anyway.
