Ampeg Micro-VR reliabilty

I've been toying around with the idea of getting one of these, and this discussion has been pretty helpful. I was looking for a decent little combo amp, instead of having to haul the stack around all the time, but this seems to be a good alternative. I wonder if they plan on releasing a smaller lightweight 12 or 15 for this setup.

if your peak led is not lighting, is there no point in engaging the limiter?

Our Technical Editor, Tom Lees, spends a bit of time discussing the Micro-VR's limiter in his technical review (in issue #4). He has a graph, and everything! :D

Funny how things doesn't stick in your mind when you're not interested. As I was reading it again, I remembered reading it but since I wasn't interested in Ampeg and didn't own the rig at the time, my mind discarded the info lol

Anyhow... yep very clear and explanatory analysis.
