Ampeg PF500/350, part 4

I love this head, and I refuse to play my bass without it, lol. I have the sickest grind when the guitar is silent, and a monstrous bottom end whenever he's playing. I can't thank Ampeg enough for this head. I just have one problem, I cut out a couple times at practice last night. Has anyone else had these problems before?

The main advantages that the PF350 seems to have over the PF500 are;
1.) the absence of the random cutting out problem.
2.) no big reports of amp failure.
3.) smaller, lighter, perhaps easier to dial in cool tones.
4.) $100 less expensive... money that should be going toward better or more speakers !

Of course, all in IMHO. :)
Disclaimer... I am a PF350 owner.

I've Been a Peavey And Randall Player for 25 years... the latest was the Tour 700... Finally pulled the trigger on PF500.... ready to tour without the xtra 20+lb bass amps.

Ampeg has always been a solid Amp company... looking forward to the new relationship with Ampeg.

A few. Call Ampeg on Monday. They'll let you know what's going on with it and if it's a problem with the head and you're under warranty, they'll make it right.

I picked up a PF500 before Christmas and have gigged with it a couple of times, once through a Mesa 210/212 stack and once though the 212 alone. Very nice. Last week I traded the little used Mesa 210 for the PF210HE cab. Wow. That's the sound (one of them anyway!) I'm looking for! There may be a second 210HE cab in my future...

It may have been stated somewhere in this thread, but it is a long one. Earlier in the postings there was a lot of talk about GK Neo cabs. Now it is all about the pf115, and the pf210. So what's the verdict? I am thinking about one pf210 now, and maybe add another later. Would two pf115's be about the same? What about the GK Neo cabs?

I picked the PF210 because that's the one the Atlanta Bass Gallery had in stock. If they had had the 115 instead, I'd have gotten that one. I think they're so similar as to not make much difference. If you're thinking of expanding later, you're choice should probably be guided by if you want to end up with a 410 or a 215 rig.

I was just looking on their website and I can find amp/cabinet combinations, but not just the head alone. I have a good business relationship with Guitar Center locally and they will take care of me if by some chance I have a problem with mine.
