Ampeg Rocket Bass Combos

I bought an RB 210 just to test ... I admit I'm lost. The watts add up and I would really have 200 watts?

the RB210 is 250W on its internal speakers and 500W with an external 8 ohm cab added.

You didn't mention what genre of music you are playing.

I find that the 210 is quite good for small-to-medium room gigs, but there's not much headroom for dynamics -

I am thinking that a Ampeg V12 head and the new Ampeg 2 x 12 venture cab would be light, powerful and versatile enough to do any gig or rehearsal.

I bought an RB 210 just to test . Knowing that I usually play on a glockenklang head with its 210 and 115 cab. And often I activate the ampeg amp simulation of my stomp. The ampeg sound suits me so well that I have the opportunity to exchange my glockenklang for a v4b and its 212. Problem, I did a gig with the RB 210 and I loved it. My dingwall sounded great. I understood that the 112 sounded good and I had the idea of taking 2x 112, for modularity. Resell the glocks and leave with money :) How do you get 2 112 to work together, I admit I'm lost. The watts add up and I would really have 200 watts?
To run both and control both its best just to run a patch cable from the effects send on one combo to the effects return on the other. Running two like that would give you 200 watts.

Question:
What would you say is the best solution.
A RB115 with SVT210AV extension cab or a single RB210?
And please, no other solutions or alternatives ;)
You should try it but I return my RB210 , the sound is muddy, and too weak to play in a group and yet we just do punk and grunge. rb115 + 210 would be better than a single rb210. I tested the RB210 with a 210 glockenklang and 115 glockenklang...awful, it doesn't sound at all Ampeg. Big disappointment with this rb series. The ampeg simulations of the hx stomp sound much better for example.

I like my RB-210 alot, and jam with it weekly in a garage with loud guitar and drums. It sounds good to me.

I have only gigged twice with it, and both times it performed well without an extension cab. One time was in a large hall with few people and no front of house. The other time was in a small club with about 100 people. It wouldn't surprise me if the amp could handle an outdoor show with an extension cab.

Hi everyone, long time lurker first time poster. I did a search here and elsewhere but I can't find an answer to this. I was wondering if anyone knew if Ampeg/Yamaha have updated/refreshed the Rocket Bass stuff on the quiet? The one I bought recently (RB-112), but for like £100 less than everyone else is selling them for, advertises an Eminence speaker (and has an Eminence logo on the box). Yampeg's current website and copy on many sites selling them says they are now using Lavoce speakers instead and make no reference to Eminence whatsoever. Any info welcome, thanks! Sorry if this triggers a "which is best" argument. :D

Hmmm not sure where you’re seeing this for the Rocket bass series. Everything I see, including the Ampeg site shows the RB as having Eminence speakers.
The reference to Lavoce speakers is only with the Venture line.

Are you looking at the main Ampeg site?

Ampeg – Bass guitar amplification as well as the two models above it.

(The 108 and 110 don't mention speaker type at all on the basic product pages)
