Ampeg Svt 3 Pro tube problem

ok im new to tube amps. i bought this head used the other day and the peak light is constantly on even at low volumes. i looked at the tubes while i was playing and all of them where a red or orange color and the last small one was yellow. Does my head need the tubes replaced or is their some other problem. it also seems to have an annoying humming sound whenever i hit a note at higher volumes

In my experience you can't really tell much from the tubes just by looking at them.

Could you give us a little more detail on how you're running your amp? Big EQ boosts, drive knob cranked, super hot or boosted signal running in to the amp? Something sounds a little weird, but without knowing more about your particular setup it's hard to say.

ive got the bass at about 5 o clock, the mids 3 o clock, treble at 12 o clock. im running an active bass through it with the -15 db switch on. it only seems to do the humming sound when i run with the eq sliders turned on. i will have it checked out by a guitar tech. i got it from guitar center so i have a 30 day return

I bought a SVT Classic from Guitar Center last year had a similar problem and it wouldn't bias correctly I called a tech and he said I needed a retube. I didn't want to spend the extra money so I took it back. I would get an estimate on repairs and see if it's worth it if it's not take it back.
