Using two 1/4 inch speaker cables I would like to use both amp A and B into upper 410 A and lower 410 B. From which 1/4 inch jack do they come from? I’m pretty sure I can tell which too put them into. Which position should the stereo/mono button be in? If someone has this rig and can just take a picture of it in this configuration, that would be appreciated. I tried to make sense of the manual but I’m not great with that. They tried using one picture to show two different ways at once. The videos didn’t help either. Thank you

Ampeg Svt 4 Pro with 810 cab

It's pretty self-explanatory, honestly, but I would like to know what the purpose of this is, since even though it's two separate power amps, it's the same preamp so there's not going to be any difference in sound. Stereo/mono button should be stereo, though, since mono bridges both power amps.
Stereo/Mono switch should not be pushed in; pushed in means you have set it up for bridged mono.
Look at your back panel, speaker output for each power amp is clearly labeled. Connect into those jack's and follow the back plate on the 810. The other jack's on the unit are mainly for sending out bass singles.

Yeah self explanatory is not the case for me. I was confused because the guy I got it from said he ran it stereo... but the button was pushed into mono in both places so I was like ***. I asked him again and he said I think I just ran it with one cable in mono. Right now I just want to play it without blowing it up.
The Speakon connector in the middle is what you want. If it is an earlier model, you need to rewire one end of the Speakon cable (amp end) to get the full power. The newer models don't require this. I answered this very question back in 2011, Mono Bridged Neutrik Speakon for Ampeg SVT 4 Pro

You can use a 1/4" to Speakon or Speakon to Speakon from the head to the cabinet. It will not work in mono-bridge mode without that cable. It's about 600 watts into 4 ohms, so you can power the 810 by going straight into the full cabinet input. The face plate on the 810 should describe what you need to do.
Speakons are very easy to switch the wiring around. Don't even need to solder....you just need a screwdriver.
There are some instructions on Youtube or written out that you can find with an internet search, but briefly, open it up, slide the barrel down, and you'll see numbers by each screw...move the wire on -2 to -1, move the wire on +2 to +1. Go to the other end and do the same thing. Piece of cake. Just make sure the screw is making good contact with the wire.
Gearhead and I are both fans of Ampeg, and we both like helping people when we can. I don't pretend to know everything about their inner workings, but I know a few things I've picked up along the way after playing music for over 40 years.
Only owned one bass with HZ's on it and it was an 8 string. Tried a few along the way at stores, though. To me, the HZ's are decent but not my favorite passive pickups. I'm much more about the actives, to be honest. And the Geezer set...love the Geezer set. But that does you no good.
Ok.. this is getting crazy...I read what you wrote there but I also looked up a video with that ampeg guy about how to wire a speakon cable...he said amp side +1 and +2 and cab side -1 +1.
I had one made just like that and it doesn’t make a sound..... I could have played with it but I was too worried that it was wrong...it was make noise at no master volume...turned up and made no extra noise.
In the video he is wiring a speakon to 1/4. Does this change it? If it’s a speakon to speak on than should it be as you say? -1 +1 to -1 +1.?????.?
I’m totally confused and getting tired of not playing amped for the short period I can every night....instead I’m reading and writing threads trying to figure out something that should have been definitively clarified and answered shortly after these were released.
Can we please put our heads together work out the details that have been confusing me and others judging by the number of search results that end on a page of many talk bass threads dedicated to this very problem. Write a definitive thread about this and tuck it away for reference for the next poor fu**er that doesn’t have a clue. With the right information I will take pictures with this amp in every possible arrangement....draw pictures... draw map whatever it takes to make sure that it is as clear as day to anyone.... 5 year old type instruction.

I'm afraid that you have exhausted my knowledge base about Speakons
I never use them myself. Plus the 4 Pro is complicated by the older ones requiring a special cable to run bridged and the newer ones not. I'm sure someone will help you out, though. And you can always contact Ampeg CS on Monday during normal west coast business hours if you don't get an answer soon. Fairly certain you will, though.
I know that the "make a speakon cable for SVT-4 Pro" instructions/videos threw me when I read/watched. For one, the polarity instructions didn't match the print on the actual amp.
Apparently, the polarity on SVT-4 Pro was changed at a point in it's history (see attached file).
I disregarded the online tutorials and wired my cable as per the poles marked on my amp rear panel and all worked out fine.
Hopefully this helps a bit.
