I bought mine used and had a really nice time with it for a few years.
Never missed a beat; it could not get clear enough for some gigs, but a little murky rock gig with a strong bottom and a nice punch was very cool.
I always brought a spare amp back then though.

As of October 1st, 2015 and they still haven’t figured out the problem?
VERY poor engineering and customer service from Ampeg.
This issue would never had lasted anytime it all if it were GB, GK, Mesa, etc.

OTOH, at least it can be repaired and the price for the new board is fair.
It would be crazy to buy a used one though.

Got the new board installed. So far, so good. One band practice with no problems. Really hoping it is fixed so I can stop lugging around the svt4.

I'm in the second year of using my 7 Pro, which I bought used! Hasn't missed a beat, solid as a rock!

It can easily handle a 410 i bet. I use an 810 and it kills

I'm going back to the SVT-7PRO. I should have mine in tomorrow. I had one a few months ago, and sold it to a friend. I replaced the 7PRO with a Super Bassman. I like the 7PRO's versatility, and it plays nice through my SVT-410HLF. A lot easier to move around than a 65 pound head too. When I get it, I'd like to get a number here, if you have any left.

I have the exact same rig; 7 Pro & SVT 410 HLF cab, love the sound and has been a work horse for two years for me, and one or so from the original owner!

View attachment 686974 That's my rig there in the middle. I racked an svt7 in a 4u case with a 2u drawer from gator. LOVE the svt 7. Absolutely badass killer sound. I play punk/metal and this sucker rips. My bass is present in the mix. Gain and master at about 1:00. I play a ric 4003 and a sterling. Never will buy another piece of equipment. I think the svt 7 is a smart choice because it has all the main features of the svt 4 for about half the price and it sounds AMAZING.

I wish my Volvo S60 could fit an 810.

I cant fit that in my car. When i bought it, my drummer had to get it from the store. When we play gigs, it goes in the trailer.

Ive had mine three months, two gigs, about four or five practices, all at pretty loud volume, through an 810. So far, so good.

Mine has been chugging away...

Will be 4 years old this coming December and has probably been thru 100 band rehearsals and maybe 80-100 gigs.

Mine has a year on it...still good.

Mine is over 2 years old. I'm not an every weekend type of player, but it's gotten a fair amount of use. At least a dozen gigs and many more rehearsals. Never had an issue.
