Ampeg SVT 7 Pro ?

Played a 7 Pro and love it. Looking to but one but concerned about the problems early on and wondered if the have been pretty much resolved.
Also, whats a good OTD price.? Get it at GC or is there other places that would be better if buying NEW

$799 seems to be the standard price new......I'd check eBay.....btw my rev b 7 pro just bit the dust and they are sending me a new rev c unit.......I have not heard of a single problem out of those.....

That's what I have seem reading about them. I am guessing a new one from, say, GC would be a REVc?? May have to go see if I can get any saving off the 799.00

Most likely it'll be a Rev C. Can't say it's impossible for you to get an A or B, but in all likelihood it'll be a C. Great head, BTW...my favorite hybrid out there these days.

7pro Rev 00C no problems here. xpt maybe some hearing problems =P JK
I did have a Rev00A when they were first introduced and it had the same problems everyone else complained about. Happy with my Rev00C tho.

Its a great amp. My personal Fav as far as Ampeg stuff goes. Lightweight versatile and very powerful. If Ampeg tone is what you are looking for go for the 7pro.

I got mt SVT-7 Pro for 679.15 shipped from Musicians Friend. Can either wait for a 15% coupon or sale, or have them honor a competitive coupon. That's what I did. At first the fellow said they could give to me for 750 and asked that if that was OK. I told him I would look elsewhere as there are plenty of places that would give me the 15%. He asked me told hold for a sec, came back and said OK.

BTW great amp. :-)

Well I went to my local GC and they had one in stock. Nobody there is aware of the problems with earlier rev A and B, just looked at me funny when I asked if it was Rev c. Kinda sad how uninformed they are. Anyway 700.00 plus tax was the best they can do so I left without it.
Be looking for a coupon for MF I guess

So thought I would check CL, although I have been and nothing until today. Maybe it was meant to happen this way. Only an hour drive and heading that way tomorrow to watch a friend play.

It comes with the original box, Paperwork, Hardware (rack ears) and most importantly a 2 year Pro Coverage transferable warranty from Guitar Center.....a $100 value. The Ampeg was purchased last December for studio use only and has very few hours on it. Pumping out 1000 watts.....this thing is ridiculously LOUD and sounds great at bedroom volume too. Come on by and give it a test run.
$600 cash only
