Unimusic, Magnavox and SLM made them in the USA. Not sure about MTI, but current owner (LOUD Tech) makes the Heritage 810 at least in the USA.

Yep. And I think the Asian made 810E's sound darn good. ...better than the early 2000's OSB ones myself.
I've only played a Heritage one once, & as others have reported, it sounded even better.

Yep, mine is made in USA by SLM, its loaded with eminence speakers and it is heavy weight! holy crap....

Just for the record I have the "Flat back" cabs with the square back Alnico speakers...and yes they are insanely good sounding ....they are also more efficient speakers, ie they sound way louder than the later cabinets with the volume set at the same spot...just got to watch the power ratting..so use 2 cabs...
I do have some very early 70 8x10 cabs with the handle and wheels that just happen to have the same square back AlNico speakers and they sound fairly close to the "flat back" cabs..due to having the same speakers...

MTI I do believe was made in Japan, I had 2 MTI 810 cabinets in the early 80's that I wished I still had.

Sorry, but that's not true. I've seen it firsthand. I've seen cabs as early as 92 and as late as 2005 with boogerwood. It was OSB, not MDF, but it's still not as good as plywood. Cabs made since 2006, however, are plywood...void free Baltic birch, as you said.

And just as an update...I got a Heritage 810e last year, and it rules all! Honestly, I think it's even better than the flatbacks. The sound is pretty much the same, but they handle way more power.

I'm currently deciding between The Heritage SVT 8x10 or Just the SVT 8x10. Do you still feel the same about the Heritage a few years later

Throwing this question out- what’s the deal/ years that the dual luggage handle cabinets came out? Seems like it went square back/ towel rack/ luggage handles/ back to towel rack design- just wondering the time line and how it lines up with the “ dark” ones- thanks

Thanks so much. Maybe I am crazy looking after 810 in 2025 with so many lighter cabs but my guts tell me this is the way to go!

I got 2 Ampeg China 810AV this year, if you have a way to transport it and don't have issues picking up every once in a while (health or whatever), they are totally worth it in my book. Nothing compares. Got one on my Band trailer, and another in the rehearsal room. Waiting for the opportunity to bring them both out. lol

@JimmyM and @Ibycan I am almost there! I'm thinking which amp to pair it with. Ampeg SVT 3 Pro or SVT 7 Pro.
I own GK setup as my signature tells but somehow I can't get what I want from it. It's very difficult to get used GK Neo cabinets here in Poland and in Europe in general. I started looking after alternatives.
