Ampeg svt 810e classic or 810 heritage?

Which 8x10 Heritage? because zZounds lists 3 different versions.

Ampeg SVT-810AV Anniversary Bass Cabinet (800 Watts, 8x10") $1,399.99
Ampeg SVT 810AV Heritage Speaker Cabinet (800 Watts, 8x10") $1,649.99

As you can see the prices are different for some reason. Even the Anniversary version is cheaper than the regular version and they're the same?!

I don't know the difference between the AV and E series.

To the best of my knowledge:

There are two series of cabs: Classic and Heritage.

Classic and Heritage use different drivers. There is a small difference in tone. Most seem to prefer the Heritage, but some prefer the Classic.

In both series:
E has black grill cloth and AV has blue grill cloth. The 810E Classic has white piping around the grill. The 810E Heritage does not.

I believe the Heritage series uses a different type of black grill material than the Classic series.

Thanks, so it's mostly visual then but they all use the same Eminence speakers? I know the Heritage series doesn't have a tweeter.

I might just get an 8x10 classic for the more modern sound which I think would sound good with my Orange OB1. I looked at the Orange 8x10 but can't justify the price when it has no cover, skid rails or proper heavy duty wheels.

I try to avoid made in China products but the Orange OB1 sounds pretty good for being made in China. I decided to sell my Quilter BB802 because I'm a little tired of messing around with pedals.

No tweeters in 810E or 810AV. I would call these cabs vintage, rather than modern.

Between the 810E and 810AV, yes, AFAIK the only difference is cosmetic, specifically the grill.

The 810 Classic and 810 Heritage use different drivers:

I would also avoid splitting the cab using any amps with a differential output. This includes class-D amps and amps set up to operate in bridge mode.

Sorry for the thread necromancy, but just wanted to thank you for saving me a repair bill. Was about to hook up my 810 to my yba200 and minimax. Seems that's a no-go. (And maybe an excuse for another yba200?)
