Ampeg SVT610HLF

But my short experience with a passive cheap jazz bass and an SVT-300 tube amp and the 610-HLF was that is was a bit muddy with all controls set at noon on the amp (midrange selector on 3) not pushing the volume to much..

The major problem was mostly on the F1 and F2 note on the E and A string.. F2 was worst (87.3Hz),, The F1 was probably due to the second harmonic (F2) on that F played on the low E string. It was not a large room the gear was in so it could be room related.. But I did not have a multiscale EQ to verify if this was the case as that frequency can not be dialed out with the amps EQ..
 
Still loving my 610HLF. I've gigged with it quite a bit now and I love the tone I get. Sure it's not exactly fun getting into my vehicle but getting it out and wheeling it around is pretty easy and actually better than the 410 I had before.
