Ampeg v4 or v4b?

Craigs selling two near my area:

a v4 for $700

and a v4B for $500

I've really want to get a big ole ampeg tubester for.....forever really. I really like the v4, because as I understand, its useable for guitar as well (and has a filthy ovderdrive channel.)

Wise men of the internet-what are you thoughts on these two opportunitties? Which do you prefer? Should I save my money and wait for a differnent, older, heavier tube ampeg?

There are really only subtle differences. The main difference was that the v4 had sensitivity switches and no bass boost while the v4b had a bass boost. On the very late models they had a distortion circuit in the v4. Otherwise, year to year they were basically the same. There were a few different capacitors in the preamp that supposedly give the v4b a little more clarity in the lowest of lows, but they use the same power amp and output transformer so it shouldn't really make a noticeable difference.
