Amps on a budget

I had a big gig amp but wanted something small for rehearsals, coffeehouse acoustic gigs and so forth.
I ended up getting a Carvin PB 100. 100 watts, 1x10. It worked for that but it wouldn't put up with drums, electric guitar amps. But again, I also had a big gig amp.

If you hate backaches, awkward carries and being drown out by a drummer MORE than you hate being poor, maybe try: TC electronics bam200 amp plus an ampeg svt 210 vertical cabinet. I’d even be willing to roll the dice on a tc electronic 2x8 cabinet, though it would be bit of a gamble on volume. The TC amp head is inexpensive, tiny and can be dropped in your guitar case or a big coat pocket. The narrow cabinets I’ve listed are lightweight and easy to carry. I suspect the only things that you could find used on that list is the svt 210 cab. More criteria failure, I know, but just trying to help.

I play in a jazz group, so the drummers & guitarist aren't very loud.
Maybe your 100w 10” combo will be just fine then. You can always sell it and move on if it’s not
My 100 watt 10 worked for that.
We had one of those 100 watt Ampeg BA 115 that worked a little better but it was a little heavier @ 62 lbs. Ugh

A lot of players recommend older, heavier amps. At 68 with arthritis, I use and appreciate lighter amps. But honestly, until my late 50’s, when the arthritis set in, heavy didn’t bother me one bit. I’ve lifted, carried, used and even built heavy cabinets since the mid 60’s.

To pile on thread, I need a new amp head to power a 4x10 cab, but my budget is only $300. Would like something small, and already have a preamp, any suggestions?
If you’re ok with used gear, i would look for an Ampeg PF500. With a little negotiation, should be able to grab one at around 300. The PF350 should also be capable of driving your 410 cab with a little less volume. I see those pretty frequently around 250. There’s a lot of choices at your price point, I’m just partial to Ampeg.
ampeg, acoustic, fender are local GC amps. if like 10 the play all 3 with 10's and see which one you like. Its about what you like and can afford. any of those can do a jam session. if you are giging then go 2/10's or a 1/15. Used or new its up to you if you want to save or buy now.
What do you mean by you already have a preamp? If it's a bass preamp then you would use that with a power amp, not another amp (although it is usually possible to feed the output of a bass preamp into the back of a conventional amp, but that depends).
If you mean your preamp is a pedal with an output at instrument level, well that's a different question.
What kind of preamp is it (including the brand)?
