I don't have the time or energy to hate anything, especially innocent inanimate objects. Ampeg amps can't help it if they suck. Ditto Peavey, Carvin, Crate, GK and Trace. If they suck, that is.

Zirc said:I dislike the Ampeg amp sound. No bite, no punch. It has such a non-aggressive sound.
that being said.. solid state ampegs do sound like crap.[/QUOTE said:Agreed - I had a B2R for a while and wasn't real happy with it. I think the boring moniker is pretty accurate.
GK800RB - good at what it did but to me it had only one sound. pushing every button and tweeking every knob didn't seem to make anything but the slightest change.
Lover Eden stuff, and have had a Hartke 3500 which I liked. I'm now using an SWR ST-220. With the enhance off I think the sound is pretty good, but not like Eden.
you know, you're rightovalsonic said:Hey, I expected a lot more Trace Elliot bashing!!! C'mon Trace bashers, keep it going so I can buy all the old Trace gear I want at absurdly low prices and get a myriad of tones that equal or better all of the overpriced and overhyped systems of the moment. THANKS!!!
metalbass101 said:3. All peavey gear. I've tried their cabs and basses and heads. They all sound so mushy and undefined.
