I just received an A Bass my wife bought me for my birthday. How do you have the Mid Freq, Treble shift, and Bright switches set?
Let's see.Mid freq. is at 300hz,treb.shift is off,bright is on.
The control knobs on top are usually set between 10-2 o'clock.This can change depending on what bass I use as some have hotter pups or active ones. Use your ears to get a tone you like and you'll find your sweet spots.
I've sold my AMT pedal some time ago as it didn't really add anything to the sound of my Markbass Little Mark Vintage head, which head already has a tube preamp. In fact, it gave me the impression of some tone degradation. That said, no preamp pedal has so far worked well with this head, they've all degraded the tone. But that's in fact not bad because this head sounds pretty good without anything added.
