Amy Winehouse has Emphysema

why is this a thread? I mean its talk bass not talktabloid.

Shes gone downhill and washed up, she had her 5 minutes of fame but wasted that chance by being an idiot and getting into drugs.

Will she be missed probably

Will this have much effect on the world probably not all it is is bad press for a freaking moron with a good voice.

Is her life anymore important then anybody elses who is going through the same thing, no.

Wasted talent. Move on.

"Her second overdose was in July — when she inhaled an “inhuman” amount of marijuana that left her vomiting uncontrollably and hallucinating."

I reckon it was an elephantine amount of maryjane.

um, ya...

as far as I know there has not been one case of a human "overdoseing" on marijuana in history... nor does marijuana make you hallucinate...

people that are ignorant about drugs are hilarious.

I don't. Based on what I know about him, and what I see about her, I don't.

From the DSM-IV-TR (the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders, which, along with the ICD-9 (and now 10) is used to diagnose mental illnesses. (I'm a clinical psychologist, by the way).

304.20 Cocaine Dependence, With Physiological Dependence

Mental illness by definition.

Jaco would have likely been 296.43 Bipolar I Disorder, Most Recent Episode Manic, Severe.

Just sayin'

Go Google "marijuana hallucinate". For every site/post saying 'no', there's another saying 'yes'. Plus, as noted above, there is a difference between overdosing and dying of an overdose.

I don't see where you're going with this. The physiological dependence came from picking up the drug repeatedly in the first place. What voluntary action did Jaco take to trigger his BPD? Also, it's one thing to attempt to dx Jaco without knowing/meeting/evaluating him, but to go as far as to specify the subclassification is a little scary, me thinks. I'm just sayin'. ;)

While I'm not a clinical psychologist, I am a NCC, CACD, and CMFT, and I'm working on my LPC. I'm very familiar with the DSM and the ICD. (WOW that's a lot of letters!!!!!) :D
