An amazing customer service story!!!

I am happy to hear yet another example of quality assurance from an American company. Restores some of my pride for "Made in U.S.A. " The first time I played a Pedulla there was just something about the quality (feel / tone / beauty) that I'll never forget.

My Thunderbass will never leave, and I hope to end up with a Pentabuzz one day.

BTW - is the Pentabuzz going back to the factory?

I thought you'd all appreciate this post. I've heard of so many warranty nightmares with musical instruments and amps. I figured he would just assume I was abusing it and causing all of the issues myself, which is incorrect of course. I take the utmost caution and care with my basses, but I am in music retail and know that most companies cry "user abuse" at the first sign of a warranty issue. Instead, he gave me the benefit of the doubt and made a decision to take care of the customer. He now has a customer for life that will own many more of his basses and sing his praises to everyone who'll listen. Much respect Mr. Pedulla, much respect!

Wow, I'ver never heard of a luthier doing something like that: I've heard of crafstmen trying their best at fixing a faulty instrument or giving a discount of a future purchase but building a new one from scratch and for free, well that's new to me !

One of my friend had a handmade classical guitar build to his specs for around 5k when he was a student (wich is not phenomenal in the classical guitar world, but still hefty). He waited about 8 months more than the 2 years estimate to get it and when it arrived to him, one tuner was already stripped, the nut was filed incorrectly and an inlay he wanted @ the 12th fret was missing (having paid 500 extra for it).

After a whole week, he got hold of the luthier. He respectedly told him that he was not happy with his instrument and was basically told "tough luck, my wait list is now in the 3 years ballpark, take a spot on the list if you want another axe or repairs".

Cost him another 200 from another source to get the guitar playable...
