An amazing customer service story!!!

If you've never used the Pedulla truss rod, you're missing out. It is extremely responsive and even across the entire fingerboard. Well worth having the correct tool. Most manufacturers do not have transferable warranties for this very reason. The guy selling the bass may not have included instructions, tools or general tips on how to use the bass whereas a new instrument will have all of that stuff in the case from the factory.

i played pedullas for years and loved them.. maybe the most true fingerboards that i have ever played.. and Mike is a stand up guy.. great luthier too..

I purchased my beloved Pedulla Pentabuzz about a year and a half ago. It was a 2003 model, so it had been on the floor for a while, but the tone was just killer, so I bought it anyway. Probably due to humidity and a lack of care and adjustment, the ebony had swelled a little in one spot down by the D on the B string causing them buzz more than usual. I called Michael Pedulla. He fixed it for free even though it was an older bass. A few weeks ago I noticed that the lines on the fretless fingerboard were sticking up a little and it was making a few of the notes the notes rattle badly. Again, it's probably due to humidity or just a finicky piece of ebony. It wasn't totally horrible, but it was audible and annoying. Needless to say, I was totally bummed. I e-mailed him about the issue on a Friday night. On Monday morning he called me up and said that he was going to build me a brand new bass for free!!! Not only that, but he agreed to build me a Hexabuzz (6 string) in the color I wanted (Peacock Blue) with the hardware (Black) and pickups I wanted (Bart Soapbars), no lines or dots on the fingerboard, 19mm spacing and he's upgrading me from AA flame maple to AAA flame maple. He also said that he would put my bass to the front of the line and get it to me within only a few weeks. I am blown away! He said, "I only put out top notch basses and if one of them is less than perfect I will replace it for free." I guess customer service does still exist. I thought you'd all like hear this story. I'll post pics of it when it gets in. Later, Steve

Ordered 2 new Pedullas (MVP 4 and Buzz 4, both AAAAA Maple) and couldn't be happier with them and the pre and post purchase service I've received from Mike personally and his office manager Christine: genuinely nice people with great big hearts that care about their customers!

Mike's got a new concept going on his website that showcases some of his more creative wood/finish choices ,,, sort of like a custom shop designed around his builder initiated bass inspirations.

Once he puts up the right MVP 5 I'll bite the new Pedulla bug again for sure!

Talk about doing the right thing by your customers!

This is what makes me so incredibly proud to play Pedulla basses. This just doesn't happen in the modern world. Good for Mike. Every single time I play my Rapture I get compliments on its amazing tone and beautiful looks. The man is just fantastic at what he does.
