Thanks for the link, but i find these controlled enviroment recordngs almost useless because no one is ever playing a bass recorded direct into a board by themselves. I was looking for actual gig footage, but i guess it doesnt exist.
Maybe i have to roll the dice.

Yeah, they're the only examples that I know of. You should definitely try it out at the gig before you buy it. Since you tour it would seem to be a great solution, as in those situations it's usually bass de jour. I'm not sure how well it will work with a laminate bass, because it senses vibration through the top.
I took a look at your profile and noticed you owned an AMT microphone. That mic, on my bass, would be the closest match in tone quality and volume to the Ehrlund. The advantage would be the Ehrlund's feedback resistance.
