An offer for those in the Austin, TX / Central TX area

Just thought I'd offer this up….

I have a nicely set up workshop - all the tools you could need to build guitars and more. I love working in my shop and do so as much as my health allows.

Anyway, here's the offer : if you're a central Texas person that would like to build guitars/basses but don't have a shop to do so, hit me up. I definitely wouldn't mind the company, I always enjoy exchanging information and exploring ideas on guitar building, and I know what it's like to want to "create", but feel limited by tools. Because of my cancer, I'm home much of the time, so scheduling to do some work would be pretty easy for you.

Along with hand tools, I have …

Band saw
Table saw
Routers
Planer
Jointer
Drum sander
Oscillating spindle sander
Edge sander
Drill press
Lathe
Disc sander/1"belt sander
Drills
Drivers
Grinders
Fret slot cutting jig
Fretboard radius jig
Lots of templates
Full dust collection

Etc etc etc …. So yeah…. All the stuff needed for guitar building.

I don't need any money for coming here and working… bring me a Diet Coke, have a good attitude, and that's all I ask. Well… also that you wear safety glasses and proper safety gear and precautions.

Here are a few shop pics. I'm still setting up a few things and organizing, it's been a bit slow going… but it's an easy and fun shop to work in.

If you're interested, shoot me a message …

Be kind to each other, and have an awesome day !
Andy

You continue to amaze. Love you, Brother!

Right back atcha - and you'd do the same thing in a heartbeat if you were in my situation (and I hope you NEVER are !)

But hey, if you wanna come down to visit sometime, I've got a guest room, a woodshop, a few cool guitars (one of em thanks to you !), and the greatest wife a guy could hope for… and an awesome dog too !

:)

Dang, I'd be on that in a heartbeat if you were within an hour drive!

You forgot the last important note behind safety, attitude, and Diet Coke: CLEAN UP AND PUT THE TOOLS BACK WHERE THEY GO!!

Hope better health, and continued enrichment in life!

Yes sir - tools gotta go back ! The dust collection makes the cleanup quick and easy though :)

And thank you for the kind words !

Wow, that's extremely generous. Sorry to hear about your health, I hope you recover quickly and fully!

What a fantastic offer and a great lookin' shop! All the best for your health.

Super generous of you Andy. Almost enough to make me wish I lived closer.

That shop looks far too nice (almost too nice to work in)! Hope someone takes you up on your wonderful offer!

God Bless you, you Freakin' Awesome Dude !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish you well with your health. As already been said what a great offer, and a beautiful shop.

Here's to a fast recovery. Great offer

Faith in humanity restored. That is a very generous offer. I'm not near there, but that is an amazing opportunity for somebody.

When the inside of the woodworking shop looks itself like a successful woodworking project you know you're in a good vibe. That place is sharp.

What an amazing offer! I lived in Fort Hood for 12years. I'm going to show my friend Scott D. Taylor this thread. You might actually know him, he gigs all over CTX.

Thank you all for the kind words ! It means more to me than yall can even imagine.

I plan on beating this thing…. And hopefully working on some basses in the meantime ! :)
