Analog Chorus suggestions

for a while I had an Electro-Harmonix Canyon and liked it. However I’m a kick where I’m trying to get rid of all of my digital pedals and going all analog.

Looking for suggestions for an analog chorus that sounds good on bass.

I’d probably second the Bass Clone. I like the Tech 21 Boost Chorus as well. However, if I were going for an analog chorus right now, I’d probably try the Idiotbox Dark Waves. The sound clips are great.

I'm all about the MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe, although their Analog Chorus gets a very honorable mention if you don't need the advanced features of the BCD.

Another vote for the EHX Bass Clone - they really got it right with that pedal and it's hard to beat even with a boutique, costly chorus pedal. Way more usable than the MXR or Boss CEB-3 imo.

The Moogerfooger chorus was pretty dang awesome got beat by a tc corona though for versatility though. I use the boss ce3 TonePrint a lot. May be another good analog one

Chorus is very hard to accomplish in a band situation. It can sound so amazing at very low levels. But once the volume of the band increases and I'm not saying metal loud but enough to hear everyone clearly the chorus many times disappears. At least with my experience. Live I like the Source Audio Gemini. I can get a good live setting and it has the option to download (app) settings and change the entire character of the pedal. I heard great things from the Waterfall and Providence. But for the dollar the Clone is hands down well worth the money. Its challenges the expensive chorus pedals. You mentioned (original post) that you are coming from the EHX Canyon. A delay although similar isn't a chorus. Therefore you may like the Gemini. You can get Chorus, Flanger and phase over lapping or just using one. Plus download other users settings. Navarro has some nice sounds with a few Source Audio pedals. But the chorus setting I really like using.

I run an ancient Arion Bass chorus on my fretless. It was cheap and sounds pretty darn nice to me.

Another vote for the EHX Bass Clone. As already mentioned, the X-over really does make a positive difference.
