Analog delay for bass

Does anyone have any suggestion for an analog delay for bass? i tried the memory man deluxe and it couldn't handle the bass too well, plus i wanted something a little simplier than a memory man. I was thinking of the Ibanez AD9 reissue because you can get one of those cheaper than a boss DM-2 or DM-3. any input would be appreciated, especially for th AD9.
Thanks!
Mxr carbon copy if you want analog.

Old thread but if someone happens to run across this as I did...

I highly and mean this, wholeheartedly recommend MXR carbon copy.

Went to 30th Street Guitars NYC and was looking for a simple, natural sounding pedal that can (most importantly) be kicked in musically.

Wow, the carbon copy really fit the bill. Tried others but man this pedal just works so well. I've yet to even see a need to adjust the modulation trimpot internally. Out of the box, first use at a rehearsal and bam!

To anyone looking for a must have pedal. First stop, try it. Let me know if you agree or disagree

Hello. For the few years that I played a Carbon Copy, I liked it. It is a good delay pedal: straightforward, usable, effective (no pun intended), small, and musical. Also, and maybe most important in this inquiry, it is a credible analog delay in a digital age.

As with any sort of thing, however, the reckoning of something is down to taste and priorities. Though I haven't played all models of analog delay, the one that got me, price and size aside, was the Memory Lane:

Diamond Pedals Memory Lane

By far, the overall best sounding analog delay (maybe any delay) I have heard. Makes me want to play music and I forget that I'm using a processor. Just sounds like music.

It's a rare pedal, long out of production, but I see one or two for sale most months. If you can find a Memory Lane to buy, go for it. But beware: you may be unable to resume using other delay pedals after you play it!

Everyone will have a different opinion about this when it comes to analog delay and the "which is best" question. For bass it's tricky because analog is already dark and your signal can get murky really fast...

I've used MXR carbon copy but didn't like it much. I currently use a Strymon Timeline which is technically digital but the modeling is so good you wouldn't know it. I also own a vintage Maxon Ad 900 which is all analog, Panasonic mn3005 chips etc. I would recommend both, although a lot of this depends on what your application is?

I use a Way Huge Supa Puss which is fantastic for bass. It has a tone control, gain control, and a modulation circuit. I like to use the tone control wound around toward the treble side. With that and the modulation, it gives a ghostly wash to the high end and harmonics but doesn't muddy up the low end.
