Anesthesia(pulling teeth) like songs

Pulling teeth definitely has its tricks, all the use of triads especially the pulloffs involving them, also the picking and raking to an open string, cliff did it all the time... Granted NV4 is not really the same as pulling teeth but like i said 'closest i could think of', its a bass solo piece by a rock/ metal bassist. Cant think of more though :/

Yeah agree there. NV4, though, is much more "tap" intensive, too.

This might come even closer: John Entwistle bass solo

They have a Status Buzzard hanging by the door at the Hard Rock Cafe in Cleveland. Takes every ounce of strength I have not to rip if off the wall and run every time I go there.

Well, now I know I can never go to the Hard Rock in Cleveland, because I would absolutely go to jail for attempted burglary. There used to be a video on youTube of some idiot breaking a case and trying to steal a stratocaster signed by SRV; he didn't get the guitar but the Hard Rock security guys did chase him for several blocks.

Black Sabbath- NIB, Sweet Leaf, War Pigs(songs)
Sleep- discoraphy
Kyuss- discography
Obscura- Cosmogenesis(album)
Acid Bath- Scream of the Butterfly (song)
The Faceless- Planetry Duality(album)

I suppose a lot of people haven't heard of these bands, but if you have heard them, you instantly recognize the bass part.

How about the police's Spirits in the Material World? I love that bassline...

Not bad but Police do have better basslines for sure. The basslines in Contact and Shadows In The Rain are pretty interesting.

As a song I positively hate SITMW because poor Andy's guitar is totally overshadowed by the keyboards.

The bass solo in Call of Ktulu is pretty amazing, it's the reason I picked up bass.... kinda hard to hear though

Paradoxes, paradoxes.

the ancient covenant by the faceless has an extremely recognizable bass intro
same with only ash remains by necrophagist and stabwound by necrophagist, but thats just if you're into tech death
if not then there's always good times bad times by led zeppelin, tom sawyer by rush and stuff of that nature
