Yeah dude, this was one of the songs I posted earlier.
Totally awesome. (The lyrics are a little strange though.)
I've also searched for tabs or a transcription with no luck before.
The main bass line kind of reminds me of Billie Jean.

I started reading the Bleach manga. I'm into it so far.
Anyone a fan?

After a few years of playing mostly Japanese metal (covering stuff like X, Versailles, etc) I got a bunch of friends together to get back to playing l'arc stuff. I miss those basslines.

Anyway, I'm organizing a Japanese rock related event next month, and most of the bands that have signed up so far are doing a lot of anime song covers! I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah, I'm about 50 chapters in. So far I'm enjoying it.
But I think this makes me a toolbag.
I'm currently enjoying/following the manga for One Piece, Naruto and now Bleach. The top 3 of all time, last I checked.
But hey, they're popular for a reason. :ninja:
(And I can say that I do like a few lesser known mangas/animes too...)

I can't be bothered to play them, but I love listening to that stuff. The players on that stuff are stupendous, the best session players ever IMO. What chops! It's incredible. How can they play such complex stuff so tight and precisely? Best ensemble playing I've ever heard.

Everyone in Japan knows the theme songs of anime TV series, so they are covered by jazz big bands and small ensembles. Check out Tokyo Brass Style. There is even a classical woodwind quartet that does one of the tunes.

Young people in Japan collaborate over the Internet by overdubbing parts and do great stuff. For some reason they all wear masks in the videos unless they turn pro. I guess they become doctors when they grow up.

Closely related are the Vocaloid tunes by a guy who calls himself Supercell. They've got a golden age of pop music going on over there.

The goofiest thing was Nana Kintade's surf guitar version of the Sailor Moon theme song.

I really dig lots of songs in anime intros and ending. I especially like playing the songs in the anime Beck (Mongolian Chop Squad). I guess the bassist character was based off of whoever the bassist of Red Hot Chili Peppers is. I do think that the songs in anime tend to be too poppy and corny most of the time, but, I do appreciate Japanese music. You guys should check out: the cabs, indigo la end, cinema staff, balloons, tricot, toe. They're all really great Japanese bands with very amazing bassists.
