Ashley's is a must if you are into beer, they have the best selection in town by a long shot.
Not by nearly as much as they used to - a number of other places have a good selection now. They're still far and away the best for single malt scotches though.
If you hit up Main Street, there are a lot of good places to eat - my favorite is the Real Seafood Co. Pricey, but if you like seafood you can't go wrong there.
A great, if overpriced, seafood place.
The prickley pear is good upper-scale-ish mexican (maybe TexMex, it's been a while),
More like "southwestern fusion"... basically gourmet Tex-Mex. Definitely NOT authentic Mexican.
If you want authentic Mexican, try Taqueria Tmaz on Packard.
Palio is awesome.
Palio is really good.
Other Main St. places that are tasty -
Cafe Lena
Cafe Felix
Also, if you like the outdoors, spend an afternoon in the Arb, it's pretty great.
...and Robert Frost wrote The Road Not Taken about the Arb, and the two different trails that run from the Geddes entrance.
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Also, there are some good trails on North Campus by the Bates dorms.
If you end up on North Campus, and want a tour... let me know.
