Hey all, here is a posting to announce a handy little web thing for creating combinations of any four notes you want.

The Bergonzifying Transmogrifier is a free web application that generates all the possible combinations of any four musical notes that you choose and then notates and creates an MP3 file of the combinations.

It "Transmogrifies" the set of four notes you choose, similar to a method outlined by the saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi in his "Inside Improvisation" series of method books.

    Check it out here:

You can read all the details on ways to use it here as well at the ol' bass blog:

I can't get it to give me anything but a C7 chord not matter what notes I put in.

Hmmm what browser are you using?

I did this on a Mac, so I have not been able to make sure it works on IE 8, but I know it works in Firefox.

Let me know (or send me a PM) what browser you are using and I will see if I can track it down.

It works just fine here (I'm using a mac too), cool little application. A Ab D E for example sounds like a great 24 bars riff. Never really realised how much 4 notes with the same signature can do.

I made a program just for you Kron, its called "The Feildy-ifier" it takes away everything but 200k from your EQ and then just bangs on a low C string until your meth is done cooking.

    Enjoy.

    200 kilohertz? Wow...

Seriously. Site isn't working properly on all browsers, uses frames and whatnot, adds a sidebar and doesn't even have DOCTYPE. Seriously, fun Javascript but the site is horrible.

    :crying::crying:

Such is life on the internet, super hacker.

As I have said in this thread about 3 times - dont have a windows box, cant test on IE 8. The page design is not the main idea that is being trying to be conveyed here.

Hey, here is an idea for all of you:

DONT USE IT IF YOU DONT LIKE IT.

    Thanks.

There is a reason Talkbass has the reputation that it does.....
