Meaning, I deleted it by accident. But I just fixed it so it is there again. Woops.
And the reason the first note doesn't have a rest is because you need to have at least one note in the mix, or else you could select all rests .... which wouldn't be that useful. This way you are sure to get some kind of pattern with a note. All the possible variations of all rests is rests.
And it doesn't matter about the position of the rests since the app goes through all the permutations. No matter where you put the rest(s) you want, you will still get all the possible variations of the notes + rests.
