Ah, yes! This is my favorite variant of the Gibson EB genre of basses, with the mudbucker in more of a mid position than right up against the fingerboard. Nice bass.

View attachment 740113 Great Bass that Music Master. I have a 1977 that I started on in '95 and I still have it. LaBella flats are new on her and I left her in soft case for 6 months and she's in perfect tune!

That's what mine used to look like. Maybe I can get it back together and get pics of it up over the winter.

I just made an offer on EBay for a pristine 1975 Fender Music Master Bass and the seller accepted. I'm stoked. It's unmolested and 100% original right down to the hang tag and case. This will make my 4th short scale bass:

I think so. I'll have to try and find an old color chart. What impressed me about the bass is the great condition and the fact that even the pickguard is so good. Most of the old ones I've seen on EBay have busted pickguards and beat to heck finishes. This one looks new.
