hey, thanks, mang i kinda went with the ash/walnut/birdseye because so many of the mtd 535 owners have such sick looking basses...it's one of mike's faves with an ash neck, and i think the combo looks totally hot...it's one of the several things that i've thrown into this project of all the features i've liked in other basses in hopes that this would be the one...soon enough i'll know

the neck pocket is cut so it's almost done...weight is right at 6.5 pounds without elex and hardware...would be nice if it ends up right at 8 pounds...

it's here and it rawks...pics definitely don't do it justice...feels great, balances very well and sounds awesome...lots of sounds out of that one pickup...diggin' it! i'll have to put more pics up when i get a chance...i'm about a million miles an hour right now....heck, it got here on tuesday and i didn't get to play it until yesterday evening...talk about suckin' thanks to all of you bee guys for being on point with your comments...i bought this on reputation alone and couldn't be happier
