Another boring NBD thread...

yesterday I took delivery of this new beauty.



You might remember I recently posted a NBD thread concerning my amazing Fender Custom Shop '51 p bass that my wife surprised me with. I have loved every minute I have been spending with it so much that I decided to "downgrade" my bass collection a little, buy a nice amp, and buy my wife something nice. Well I traded my '74 Precision for this beauty, plus a little cash that I used to pay for my new Aguilar TH500. I was very pleasantly surprised when this bass arrived. It is a MJT relic with an Allparts neck. The original owner also relic'd the neck. It plays like a dream, feels rock solid, and the relic job done by Mark Jenny is amazing. The best part is that it is LPB, just like my CS51! I guess that's my new "thing"

And there's no such thing as a boring NBD! I love 'em all. You see, even when a new kid gets an Ibanez starter pack, I can just feel the excitement when he/she posts a NBD! It brings back memories of my first cappy bass, and how much I LOVED it!

As for yours, that is a really good looking couple of basses you have there. I'm usually not a relic fan but those look great! Love that blue.

Thanks friends! I still have to move the two basses I have linked in my signature before I can buy my wife "something nice." It will probably be either new camera gear, jewelry, or a weekend away.
