Another build has begun...

Picked up some wood today to start a new build. Hard mapke body, padauk, wenge neck, and a cocobolo fretboard. It will be a 5 string fan fret build. All ive done so far is cut some neck laminations.

had a little time this morning to get some more cutting done.

I planed all of my neck laminations for glue up, and got those clamped, and glued together.

I cut out the rough shape of the body wings

I also decided to slab some cherry burl for my top. anybody need some cherry burl??

as you can see i've already cut the cocobolo fretboard. it smells like roses in my garage right now. after a couple more of those things I'm sure I will have to replace the blades in my jointer, thickness planner, and my bandsaw, that stuff is hard!!!
