I would appreciate suggestions for my Sansamp RPM settings, as I don't seem to get that sound I'm looking for. My equipment: Carvin DCM2000L: Sansamp RPM, Epifani ul-2, series 2 310, Fender Jazz.
I'm trying to get that "heart-pound" thump still being able to hear my notes, as I am suffering some hearing loss in my left ear. My current settings are: Drive-10 o'clock, Mid-2 o'clock, Mid sweep-2 o'clock, Bass-3 o'clock, Treble-5 o'clock Blend-3 o'clock, Level- 9 o'clock. My guitarist tells me I sound way to "middy", then, I try to cut the mids, bring up the bass, and it sounds "boomy" and I can't hear the note clearity.
My Carvin is set to Max on the level - I usually only use one channel.
Sometimes I use (2) epi 310's which sounds better. I also try using my (2) Epi series 2 ul-112 cabs, which sounds according to my guitarist-"like a duck". Getting frustrated and need help.
