Another head/cab thread. Trace Elliot 1x10

I'm going to leave the OP in the capable hands of those who wish to shave $6.00 per cable off and DIY and forgo a lifetime warranty with Sweetwater!

There's always a better way to get from here to there...except when you can't get there from here!

Adios!

I assume that's a dig at me. It's cool. I have saved about $300 on SpeakOn cables because I have a modicum of ability and mechanical knowledge, and am not afraid to use tools. I'm not too worried about a cable warranty.

Heck, I WAS the warranty department for a famous international guitar maker for a few years. I think I can cut a wire and screw down some terminals without too much concern. I believe many (but maybe not all) people can do the same.

But, seriously...

Oh, we're being serious?

This has been my thought as well.

Mine do, you would be amazed at how fast anything with more than two knobs or buttons dies when I try to use it,

My grandfather can't wear watches after his time on nuclear submarines.

Well, he can wear them, but they stop working. And it maaaay have happened before his time on subs, nucs or diesel, but I don't think a rural boy in the 30s and 40s was wearing a lot of watches

I wonder why so many people around these parts always think someone is doing this?

There are options. I don't change my oil in my car. Is that a dig at you because you have a tool chest and like to use them?

Earlier, there was some information provided involving possible electrocution and messing around with cables. With all of the "advisors" around here they would be well advised that someone could misinterpret what's being advised, have damage and would have no problem finding out who the advisor was.

Now, go relax, run some scales and think about how nice it is to just call Sweetwater and arrange a replacement, if needed. ;)

Thanks, you just reminded me that my wife’s VW Tiguan is literally screaming for windshield washer fluid. Should I grab a bottle and do it myself or should I call Triple A and have them send a wrecker?

If it's a modern VW the lack of washer fluid has probably made a computer somewhere inside it permanently disable the vehicle and order you a replacement.
