Another Modded Lakland ...

Not to steal your thunder Iota but here's mine, since my bass has been mentioned in this thread. It has the Bart NTMB 3 band but with a twist. I've also added an extra battery to the pre, making it an 18v set up. Jazz on steroids doesn't do it justice. I'd say jazz on PCP. By the way, I'd love to hear some clips of the Sadowsky pre too. I'd think that would make those Nordies sound disgustingly beautiful.

Sorry for the crappy pics. I was in a hurry.

With all the recent interest in modded Lakland 55-01's, I thought I'd get into the act. And why not? With standard soapbar routing, 5-knob configuration, and one of the best necks in the business, the 55-01 is a natural.

This however, is NOT your daddy's 55-01. This is one godzilla of a J-Bass.

The pickups are Nordstrand Big Splits and the preamp is a Sadowsky 2-band w/VTC.

Tone wise, this thing is almost out of control. HUGE sound. Edgy. Raw. People talk about a Jazz on steroids, this thing has steroids, HGH and everything else Balco had in the kitchen.

Monster Bass. I can't WAIT to get this one to rehearsal over the weekend!

Hey, nice upgrade! Just one question - Sadowsky pre has 4 knobs, you have 5. So how did you connected the pre?
Thanks!
