Thanks, if I like they way it sounds I might make my own board with any mods I come up with. Then I'll see if I can cram it in a Hammond 1590B.

I have a literal list of pedals to make.
- 25:17
- DOD Carcosa
- Earthquake Devices Cloven Hoof
- Deluge
- I need to make a loop with a switchable blend for the pedalboard (which I also plan to make)
- Silver Crank
- piezo buffer for my Cirrus bass project
- I might have a partial tube amp kit in the works. Not sure yet.

All this on top of 5 bass projects. Not to mention practicing. Oh, and the whole job and family thing... blah blah blah...

I need to order pots, caps, blank boards, and some diodes. But I still have plenty of 1N4148 diodes left in my stash!

Just finished this up. I have built a lot of overdrives, distortions, fuzzes and muffs. I think this one is by far my favorite. It’s full on mayhem but very tweakable. The knobs and switches will keep you busy for hours. I played with it all last night before I boxed it up tonight.
I don’t know how it compares to the real thing but I can see why so many people like it.

The Deluge is a killer pedal. Highly recommended.

That Devi Hexafuzz (@G.Bisson ) is really cool. Makes me want to build a Hyperion/Ruiner combo. And I really need to get some Parasit boards.

I've been boxing up some boards lately. Missing parts (pots, jacks, ...) came in, graphics got done and after a lot of drilling (by hand) I can now present the fuzzy holiday season bunch:

top row:
Death Cap (PedalPCB), aka Doom Bloom. Cool versatile fuzz. You need to dime some pots to get a nice bottom end. I prefer my OG Bass Bloom with clean blend. This might end up with a guitar playing friend.
Calamity (PedalPCB), aka Unpleasant Surprise. A lot of cool and unusual sounds in there.
Harakiri Overlord (Fuzzdog), aka Fuzz Overloader. This one is massive and totally dooms! I love it.
Animatron (Fuzzdog), aka Animato. Amazing pedal, does the Muse sound. Useless, popping switch as per the original.

bottom:
Portly Provoker (Effects Layouts), based on the rather obscure SRS EQ Exciter, but with added gain and pre gain controls. Fat sounds, good for guitar and bass, I'd say. Still want to do some tweaking or tuning in the transistor section (transistor rolling and biasing, has a bias trimpot inside).
Budderface (Lectric-FX), old school 70ies silicon fuzz with mids. Does what it says. Mids control is cool. But again, not fully satisfied. I subbed the transistors it called for and it has too much gain for my liking. As transistors are in sockets and there's a bias trimmer inside, I'll just try other stuff.
Tonbender MKIII (Fuzzdog), built to OG Colorsound (Vox) specs. 5£ NOS AC125 from Fuzzdog in Q3 and a pair of Russian MP14B up front. It rules! Love it. Of course the tone knob has to be deep into the bass side.
Two Sticks of Derm (PedalPCB), aka Doom Stick II. Aggressive, mean high gain fuzz. It's very very loud, providing a surprising and satisfying amount of low end.

Do it , you wont regret it. I'm so glad this post was started. It nive to converse with others that have the same interests. Thats on nice big role of diodes. I have a healthy stock of goodies but nothing like that.
I have finally missdrilled my first box. I have probably made 60+ pedals so not bad. It may be the first but certainly wont be the last.
Thinking my next project might be a modded blue box. I have way to many drive pedals.

The mojo trick is to try and squeeze the Ezekiel all inside a 1590B enclosure! I tend to use the FuzzDog kit for that. I've also just ordered a Titan II fuzz kit. I'm toying with the idea of fitting a Mastotron and a Titan II in a single 1590BB enclosure.

Has anyone experimented with an Analog Devices ADG2188 matrix switcher? Seriously thinking about ordering the eval board. I think the only question is if the crosstalk isolation values are high enough.

Fuzzdog sell the PCB boards separately, if you wanted one. You already have the components.

Are kit builders welcome here? If so I'm about to jump into the deepish end with a GGG Stratoblaster kit and then a Moody Sounds Hjart Muller Overdrive . I have been doing guitar repairs and builds forever but my electronics daze were a long time ago. PAIA and Heath Kits for any old timers that may remember those.
To warm up I have done a couple of mods and pedal repairs plus watching some videos on YouTube, I found one by Fuzzlord that is particularly good at covering fundamentals and step by step building.

I'm playing around with the Devi Ever 33/Silver Crank on my proto board. The tag board page called out a 2N2907a for Q2, but it's supposed to be a 2N3907a. I dont have one handy, and I only have 50K pots when I should be using 100K. Oh well.

I should note that I swapped on several other NPN parts for Q2 and there was almost no difference

I just thought I would share a few things I noticed
With the volume set to unity and the intensity down, it inverts the waveform and has a nice rounded clip.

Turn the intensity all the way up, the peak-to-peak remains about the same but the waveform shifts negative and the duty cycle (sorry if that's the wrong term to use)

Let's check the low frequency waveform. Pretty gnarly at 40Hz. Intensity is around 80%

Anything above 150Hz has pretty much the same shape.

I'll get the correct pots and transistor and try again.

How does it sound? Like an odd fuzz, a little thin. It has a good amount of overall voltage increase. It was mentioned it is good for driving other pedals. What do you use yours for?

I’m putting together an order and it seems like one place doesn’t have everything I want. Putting out a feeler here.

Im looking for about 10 Ge diodes, a few Ge transistors with hfe 90-120, AND 3 or 4 J201.

In the spirit of Devi's 2009 schematics "spread the love", here is the stripboard layout and build plan I put together for a Hyperion & Silver Crank combo pedal. Silver Crank is the right side of the board. Dark Boost is the left side.

I should note that I swapped on several other parts for Q2 and there was almost no difference.

I tried this a few days ago and got basically no output. I pulled the 2N2907a and it worked, I did some digging online and saw the 2N3907 listed as well as a schematic showing two NPNs. So that's what I went off last night.

I took your advice and put the 2N2907a back in and its definitely working now. Something must have just been making a bad connection because I didnt change anything else.
It gets kinda weak and trails off if a note is hit softly. Not a fan of that. I used poly caps, I'll swap in ceramic and see if theres any difference.

It's still inverted. Intensity is at 100%

Turning the intensity down shifts the output closer to the input. Interesting. The peak to peak is actually higher.

This is also my experience. Notes will sound choked off when playing softly or with the intensity set too low. I turn up the intensity until the note blooms nicely and play staccato for a gated bitcrusher type fuzz.

I finished up a PedalPCB Leprechaun (EQD Rainbow Machine) last night. This thing is wacky. I really don't know how to classify it, but my buddy wanted it so that's what he got.

I am pretty happy with this build. Learned a lot with the previous one and this one went a bit faster and cleaner. The color of the enclosure is closer to the last photo. The light in my house made it look more aqua.

I also got myself a new proper soldering station (Weller WP1010) which made things a lot easier. Mainly I was able to forego flux and get the solder wet much more quickly. What a difference from the 25w Weller I was using before.
