Any experience with the Ibanez SR505?

I've played a 505 and a 5 string JBass, and I like 'em both.

The 505 is one of those that breaks the "you get what you pay for" mold.

I've never understood the floppy B thing with fenders though... I've not had a problem with the B on any that I've owned.

Resurrecting a 16 year-old thread, but for a good reason. I am considering the SR505E in Brown Mohogany.

One of the complaints I have read in reviews is how easy it is to mar the finish. I have to admit, paying ~$700 for a bass and having to baby the finish kinda bothers me a bit. Why not apply something a little more durable?

Anyway, looking for experiences with this bass.

Others I am considering are Yamaha's TRBX605FM in Dark Red Burst and TRBX505 in both Translucent Brown and Brick Burst, Ibanez's SR405E in Dragon-Eye Burst, and their SR375E in Sapphire Blue.
