Amen!Tom Fowler laid down some serious grooves for the mothers back in the early 70s.
Frank and Steve seem to be having a lot of fun with this one. I know i said i would stop, but can't.
Not the man himself, but shows the impact he had. I love this.
Wore out the 8 track in my first car playing Just Another Band from LA.
Had the privilege to see him live and doing bizarre stuff with a pink, stuffed poodle at the Horden Pavillion in Sydney in the late 70's.
All-time favourite remains the collaboration with Capt. Beefheart and the live recording of The Muffin Man
Best ever album cover IMHO has to be Ship Arriving Too Late to Save a Drowning Witch
I have tickets for Dweezil on the 28th of this month. Can't wait!If you want to treat yourself to a hell of a show go see
Dweezil Zappa playing his father's music.
Incredible musicianship and a looney good time.
Ah - Peaches en Regalia. My first Zappa bass line I ever learned. Guitar Magazine May 1986 had both the guitar and bass transcriptions. Still have it to this day. What you doing wasting time on my thread? Get to work! HA HA.Frank's ability to cut a new record had by 1981 exceeded my ability to both own every one and keep my Rotosounds fresh. The first album I truly listened to closely (and frequently) is Just Another Band from LA. Just an easy walk from there to Captain Beefheart. My copy of the Real Book has Peaches en Regalia and that is as-yet attempted.
Was at all six of these shows at The Palladium '77, i'll stop now.

Overnight Sensation destroyed the 8 track in my friends Javelin. Won't ever forget those days.
