Any Gamers?

What's happening, bass-heads? Now we all have to find other ways of keeping our fingers active and ready to pick up axes, right? Well, my preference seems to mostly be a) writing on this forum, or for the sake of this thread, b) gaming.

I've been a gamer pretty much my entire life. I remember playing Contra all the time on the NES when I was 3 years old. Mario, Metal Gear, Grand Theft Auto, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Crash Bandicoot, just gaming everywhere in my life. For me, gaming was an outlet for a lot of stress. I was bullied a lot in school, and the only way to help it was gaming. Come to think of it, I remember less of the school and more of the games. And contrary to popular belief, the games kept my grades at a very high level. It also helped me with creating a better level of hand-eye coordination, which became very useful for becoming a bassist. :D

So, what have you, TB'ers? Any gamers in the house? I currently own a PS3, and I currently am playing Grand Theft Auto IV. If anyone wants to play online, that would be wonderful. My PSN is Marc_the_Bassist.

What console do you play on? Any PC gamers? Anyone looking forward to the new consoles? Favorite games? Gamer stories? Please share with us, and we can revel in some fond memories.

Cheers!

Love the gaming! Mostly Black Ops2. Otherwise I like single player stuff like State of Decay. On the PS3 I play DCUO, BlOps2, Ratchet and Clank, Yakuza series. On the 360 Skyrim, State of Decay, Fable series. Between kids, going outside & getting some sun, and bass practice, I barely have time to sneak in some gaming!

I game a bit, when I'm not doing University stuff, or bass stuff, though I play on a 360. Ya know, I hadn't realised how much I don't game until I thought about my recent purchase and realised that it was Gears of War: Judgement, a game that I play occasionally with my mates. I guess I haven't really been playing anything regularly for a while... I suppose I'll mention some games that looked interesting at E3, then: Watch Dogs, Dying Light, Dead Rising 3, and Quantum Break. I'm not sure that I would jump on a next-gen console, though.

Read over your OP, Marc, and I like that your gaming name is bassist and your TB name is rogue :D

I've been a gamer my entire life. When I was 5 my Grandma got me an NES and my Dad and I would play the crap out of Mario 3 and Little Ninja Bros.

Back in '98-'99 I was one of the top 50 Command & Conquer players in the country under the gaming clan CCEF with Antagonist Inc. I've played just about every console. However in my recent years I have primarily set on the 360 for online play, yet I still have my N64, SNES, etc. I kinda got into the 360 thing late, roughly 3 or 4 years ago. Currently I've been playing Skyrim, Fable 2, Borderlands 2, UFC Undisputed 3 and Minecraft, but am an avid Halo fan and diehard RPG enthusiast.

I was kinda like you Marc, had a hard time in school and it was a huge outlet for me as well as music. In fact, I owe the music of Zelda 64: OoT and Final Fantasy III(SNES) and FFVII specifically for inspiring me to write music to this day.
