Any help with Washburn Force 8 serial number?

Any Washburn-wizards here?

I have this quite worn but still cool as hell Washburn Force 8 bass that I purchased like two years ago. I know nothing about Washburn basses (or basses in general really) and I spent quite a lot of time trying to figure out the year of manufacture for my bass.

I read somewhere that usually with Washburn guitars and basses, the first two numbers indicate the year (like 1992 is 92...something), but I'm pretty sure they didn't make these kind of "heavy metal basses" back in 1957 (he he). If I would have to take a guess, I would say its from mid to late 80's.

The serial number is 570046. I'm not about to sell the bass, I absolutely love it, but just curious about the manufacturing year and country.

1985 is the likely date, as Washburns with orange binding like that were being advertised at the time.

Thanks for the info! Do you have a clue is there some sort of a Washburn serial number database online? The listings that I found were quite limited.
