Any M-Audio FireWire users?

I'm looking into the M-Audio FireWire 410 or FireWire Solo for some in-house recording on my Mac. Mostly demo type stuff - need vocal, bass, guitar and keyboard recording. Some drums would help (just no room). I'm leaning 410 for the options.

Reviews look solid enough, just checking to see if anyone has additional input or another recommendation, or if iMac users have had any problems.

I have been using 2 m-audio Delta 1010s for a number of years and I love them. I know its not firewire but their product is great! I took them out of the box, bolted them in my rack, installed the drivers, and haven’t looked at them in years. They always work no questions asked! Driver support is great too.

I use a 410 with a Mac powerbook
Works great. Easy to use. I also use it with Protool 7.0 M box.

My friend and musical collaborator has 2 1010's as well and his system never causes problems! What a great thing to have 16 channels to play with, huh?

on the the Firewire 410 - I say go for it...
I have used a FW 410 before with mixed results on a PC and a Laptop. The PC was pretty well tricked out and the only issue I had was routing the midi signal - but I am also a little midi-illiterate... so it was probably my own issue and not the 410's.

The laptop was not very tricked out at all.. pretty 'business-class' so it is not a wonder that it locked up and did not perform very well.

I own an M-Audio FireWire Solo and love it! It has never let me down and I've recorded all of the stuff (excluding Gerudo Mayhem) using that and Garage Band on my Link Removed
