Any mountain bikers??

Did ride today actually...Cool little loop on our local XC track. Currently just have the Intense Tracer, so it's kind of like a pig...But I did it...saving for a carbon 29er! ;)

Started raining...that means the weekend is gonna be hella good :D

Going to Temecula US Cup race myself....anyone going?

My dad and I are huge mtb nuts! I've ridden my whole life and then some!
I live very near San Diego, so Noble Canyon and surroundings are my playground :)

Here I share some pics ;)

Heres the latest pic of my bike...It seems to be a lot of Tracers around Talkbass. Cool bike!

Need to get me one of those Carbines though!

I'm having bike deja vu! I love love love my Tracer2. Wouldn't mind getting my mitts on a Carbine, though. Anyway, Intense for life! :D

Cool thread! My two favorite sites are TalkBass and MTBR.
Here is my Motolite:

Whoa! Nice ride there! I spend a good bit of time at MTBR as well. I'm L. Ron Hoover over there.

*may* be NBD soon... more to follow

Come on, spill the beans!

I wish I had a little time !!!

The conditions are perfect around here , super hard packed snow on snowmobile trails : a dream :hyper:

Much like here. Awesome winter conditions.

I'm really short on time as well. Luckily my office is 1.6km from my house and there are trails ~1km from my house, so I can get a quick ride in at lunchtime most days. 30 minutes on the bike is better than nothing!

OK, Mark- I have long dreamed of building an older-design Scalpel into a super-light(compared to my usual dinosaurs:D)SS XC race-type sled, and watched ebay & CL for EVER. $1200 full bike here, $500 BIN frame there(all w/unknown histories)... so when I spied an XL FULL BIKE(800 model, fine w/me)for $650, I became aroused(yes, THAT way :)). I've been too busy to check it out until tomorrow- will update then...

Picked one up this morning- an XL in FABULOUS shape, w/Easton carbon bars & seatpost, for $600. A 10+/- year dream, acheived. :)

"Insert drooling Smilie here"

A scalpel is the only Dual sus bike I would buy.
Very high on my GAS list.

I came close to get a 2010 Ultimate but I had to sell bass gear in order to get it and you know that's a big NO-NO :smug:

These crank are a rarity BTW , the ancestor of the Hollowgram.

Fokof, the one in the linked CL ad- if it's still up- is the actual one I bought; it has a cheapo C-Dale house-branded crank. No matter though, I'm kitting it out to my specs- I told the wife this is my *official* midlife(midwife?:D)crisis...
Anyway, I'll post some prog pics. Already swapped out the stem. It came w/a 9-sp *Rapid-rise* XTR der/shifter setup; anyone here like those? May sell.

OK, this:

Bargain, well done :hyper:

If I was looking for a light full sus I'd be well happy with that Cannondale. I have been scanning around for a nice light HT for a while but getting the right frame size is the problem.

Be nice to know the weight after you've finished working on it.
