A run a couple of days back, up the fenced track, cut up to the right, up to the top and across into the forest to the right out of frame. I left it a bit late and had to get back down to the valley floor with a front light in darkness, that was not easy.

I hate having to ride close to barbed wire, this unfortunate owl misjudged his swoop by a an inch

I've got those same OURI grips ... dig'em. Plus they're the way I like'em ... cheap and comfortable.

Went out the last couple of days...the flowers are blooming, the hills are turning green...life is exploding everywhere! It's so good to be able to ride......
My stomping grounds......Shell Ridge/Mt Diablo, 3849 ft. and a sweet climb to the top.

That is looking lean and mean indeed, I gather there are a couple more things to address from the SS thread but more than worth it for sure, nice

Yeah, the brakes are not happy- dropped her at the shop. Despite that & the shocks not right, she is a rock-hopping sexy BEAST-thing. I have never been happier w/a bike's feel, fit & friggen indescribable nimbleness. it's beyond love at this point, and sure to get better.

I have done the Devil Mt Challenge....but that's a road bike event. Is there a Mt bike race I don't know about?

anyway....... I have never ridden Rockville. Maybe you could show me around there this summer and we can try to hammer Mt Diablo. I have never made it to the top without stopping, but I have lost over 30 lbs this year. so I am dying to test myself.


iamdenialNJ... It's a cool little single track. Not very long and not very fast. It's in a local park and something I just cruise on. But it sure is beautiful.

Datsgor, oh YEAH we'll do that. On the Diablo thing- I'd have to do it on a road-configged MTB; I don't know of any MTB races over there. Did the Black Diamond Coal something(Climb?)20+ yrs ago...
