Cool! A few spots with pretty good exposure along there. The terrain and weather is like the anti-here. :D

Haven't been on the bike in a couple of weeks. Weather's been pretty miserable and my ass is afire to get the corridor cleared for my new trail before it snows. I took another local trail builder guy up there a few weeks ago and he complained that it was gnarly. Uh, that's the point, dude! :p

I'm probably going to upgrade the Niner X5/X7/Avid1 group with full SLX in the spring and switch that stuff over to a cheap 1x10 for townie duty. Agreed. SLX actually offers incredible value as long as you aren't an insufferable weight weenie. I'd probably be running that on my Tracer if I didn't already have high end SRAM everything on there. Are they offering a clutch-type rear derailleur in that line yet?

Every chest mount video I've seen sucks. Too much aiming at the front tire. Helmet mount is the way to go for POV, if you ask me.

Yeah, you have to go across through three streams. I've only ever seen water in one of them and it wasn't that deep. The crossing shift though, depending on the water. Right now it's all dry though. Pretty easy to find. Just a pretty technical grueling climb to get up though. Lots of tight switchbacks. I took some footage of the climb, if anyone is interested, but I figured most would want to watch the faster part of the ride instead of that part.

Looks like an awesome spot, Maki. You're making me jealous- it's a beautiful day here in CT (70 and sunny in mid-November!), but I'm away at college and my bike is at home. :( It's always cool to see all the cool spots and bikes TBers ride!

Few pics from this morning's ride. First one in snow for the year. There was a bit more of it than I expected. Not as slippery as you might think but definitely energy sapping. Added 13 minutes to my loop.

Ok. It was pretty slippery in this spot. Snow over normally super-grippy slick rock.

The bridge we finished building on Sunday, just before the snow fell. It's about 70' long and crosses a boggy spot that just sucked to ride through before. Can carry a lot more speed there now which sets you up nice for the next technical section.

I gotta say, I was sucking wind on this ride. The snow was deep enough to be energy sapping and the ground beneath wasn't quite frozen so it was pretty soft.

I've been doing a lot of trail work this year. That bridge is just one project. I'm just about finished corridor clearing for about 2km of brand new trail. It's going to be super fun when finished. I've marked out a side loop off it that consists of 4 steep rock rolls with a couple of natural jumps in between. Gotta get that cleared before we get the real snow.
